Stony Mountain Quarry Trail

Check out this family friendly hike. Just 30 minutes from Winnipeg.

Distance: 2.5 km loop (but my Fitbit said 3.5km)

Time it took our family to complete: with lots of exploring, snack breaks and lots of scrambling up and down, it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete the loop.

Right in the town of Stony Mountain- this short and relatively easy hike is great for kids. Easy terrain- they won’t get too tired. And it’s also varied enough that they won’t get bored. With lots of little trails and places to scramble up and down and lots of rocks to find fossils, your kids are sure to have fun!
